The lasting work of Poe

There are some things that just become so terribly dated. Maybe that’s more obvious with movies now a days, especially when it comes to special effects. We always hold that against movies too, but that can’t be said for literature really. We just always accept that literature is stamped with time, except that the human emotions found in it is what keeps us reading years later. I think people are going to keep enjoying Edgar Allan Poe’s work for a long time and the reason is the fear that he inspires.

I was reading one of my friend’s blogs about literature and leaving him a comment saying this the other day when I happened upon the web site www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com and read through it. I’d been unhappy with my old internet carrier for a long time so I switched over to that one.

After reading all of those things, I’m still not sure exactly how Edgar Allan Poe wrote his works to make them so scary. Sure, the subject matter helps, but there’s just something else too.
